Texas

Texas, a no-man's land and still an independent republic, is a state in the south-central United States. It borders Mexico, four states, has a coastline, and contains several potholes to the future. At 268k square miles, Texas is still less than half the size of Alaska. Texas is possibly one of the most misunderstood places in the Western world by outsiders. This is partially attributed to those terrible Hollywood western films which were shot in southern California.

Texans enjoy extreme at times, but generally favorable weather. The state is made up of nearly every landscape one can think of, including swamps, mountains, and prairie, and also nearly every industry. The population is equally diverse. Due to the radical nature of the land, economy, and population, conflict is to be expected, as spontaneously sparring often breaks out in public places.

The food of Texas is very hearty and consists primarily of southern cuisine and Mexican food, sometimes referred to as "Tex-Mex", although other ethnic cuisines exist in abundance. Due to the relatively low cost of groceries and the deliciousness of the food, Texas celebrates having one of the highest obesity rates in the nation. Another non-exception to the saying "Everything is bigger in Texas." are the vehicles Texans drive. Due to the lack of public transportation, citizens of this state feel the need to retaliate by destroying the Ozone with monster trucks. All crimes in Texas are punishable by death.

There are nearly 24 million legal residents of Texas, surpassing the population of Australia and approaching the population of Canadia. Between 10-15 million of Texas' residents are members of Spacefem. Meet-ups take place rarely, if ever, because everyone carries a gun and therefore these members fear one another.

Texas' economy is the second largest in the nation and the fifteenth largest in the entire world. Its economy is vital to the well-being of the United States, it is also a center of globalization. It is the largest exporter in the U.S. and has a massive shipping industry. Due to the lack of personal income tax (there is no state tax), the astoundingly low real estate prices, and the vast job opportunities, Texas has one of the fastest growing economies and several Texas cities top frequent "Top places" to move to/live in.

Popular exports from Texas include various agricultural products, computer technology, NASA, Wes Anderson, Farrah Fawcett, Jennifer Garner, ZZ Top, Tom Jones, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mike Judge, Lance Armstrong, Hillary Duff, the Butthole Surfers, Buddy Holly, Beavis and Butt-head, Barry White, and Stevie Ray Vaughn, among many others. Unpopular exports include Renee Zellweger, the Jonas Brothers, Anna Nicole Smith, the Simpson sisters, Meat Loaf, Pantera, Toadies, and those weird taxidermy armadillos drinking Lone Star beer.

Texas' complete opposite is Canada. Texas' rival is California.
