Albums
Um, they're the whole point of everything. Read on! If you're feeling spendy today, feel free to click the covers and buy the stuff. I don't benefit from it, I used other people's amazon affiliate links (Like Jill herself!) so they'll get some change.

Things Here Are Different Things Here Are Different
Okay, you should hear every song on this album because it's amazing, but my fav is "Too Cool To Fall In Love" because it makes me want to seduce everyone. I once got it stuck in my head and went to the mall, the results were disasterous.

Jill Sobule Jill Sobule
Released in 1995, this is probably Jill's most popular album because of hits like "I Kissed A Girl" and "Supermodel". It's certainly her most quirky. It plays unexpectantly well as a whole though (think "album experience")and tends to change your mood for the better, no matter how you feel when you put it in.
Random Album Quote:
I know everyone's a good person inside
Everyone wants just to be loved inside
So whenever I think, "what a dick, what a liar,"
I try to remember the good things inside

Happy Town Happy Town
1997 - Jill's got something to say. Way to speak your mind, babe! My favorite Jill interviews came out of this era, she's just genuine. It took a lot to get from here, but it was worth it.

I can be clever.
I can charm your pants off...
I can get angry
I can smash your windshield

Pink Pearl Pink Pearl
This one came out in 2000. It's just so her, I mean we're talking personality here. "Somewhere In New Mexico" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard - the mp3 is available from JillSobule.com if you want a preview. There are more really cool characters and really deep, sad issues set to happy peppy tunes, which I adore.

We'd go to parties and you'd show me off
And I'd go home with someone else

I Never Learned To Swim I Never Learned To Swim
It's like a Greatest Hits that nobody wants to call a greatest hits, so whatever. Martin calls it a "fine introduction to Jill's music" and I suppose I'd have to agree, although any of these albums will make you a fan.
